In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can find many shrines in Hyrule's sky that require they transport a crystal across a few of the sky islands in order to be granted access. The Mayam Shrine floats in the northern part of Hyrule's sky waiting for players to find and open with its crystal.
Mayam Shrine Location in TotK
In Tears of the Kingdom, players are able to find the Mayam Shrine on the northernmost islands of the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago.
To reach the shrine, players can use the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower to enter the Hyrule skies just north of the archipelago.
Mayam Shrine Walkthrough
Players can begin the shrine's quest "The North Hyrule Sky Crystal" by interacting with the empty shrine and activating its fast travel location.
They will be directed to find and return a crystal tethered to the shrine with a green beam of light. Looking over the edge of the island, players will see that the beam connects to a construct walking around on a nearby island arena.
Players should glide down and prepare to fight the Flux Construct I waiting for them. This version is the least difficult of the Flux Constructs around Hyrule, but can still pose a challenge for newer players.
Once the construct has been defeated, players can find some Zonai Devices and a large floating platform they can control. It's recommended that players attach the crystal to the platform, as well as a rocket facing upward as shown in the picture above. Players should also set down, but not attach, a second rocket for later or bring their own from a dispenser.
Activating the first attached rocket will lift the platform high into the sky, stopping at the same height as island destination. Players should then attach the second rocket facing towards the island with the beam providing a sort of guide for lining it up.
If done correctly, activating the second rocket will bring the platform to rest right next to the island.
Players can then detach the crystal from the platform and bring it to the end of the beam to reveal and open the shrine.
Inside, players will find Rauru's Blessing and can claim a Magic Rod from the chest as well as a Light of Blessing from the statues up the stairs.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
