Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has multiple planets with vast worlds that players can explore and find secrets within. To explore as much as possible though, players will have to find every exploration ability to upgrade Cal Kestis with. This way, players will be able to maneuver Cal into places that weren't possible to explore earlier in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

There are plenty of different exploration abilities that Cal will upgrade along his journey, with some being immediately unlocked from the beginning of the game. To unlock these abilities, players will simply need to play through the main story, and they will be continuously unlocked with progression.

7 The Jedi Flip

The Jedi Flip was an ability that Cal Kestis first learned while adventuring through Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players will have the Jedi Flip instantly unlocked. Practically, the Jedi Flip is a double jump for Cal to reach higher places.

To perform the Jedi Flip, players will simply just double-tap the jump button. This will cause Cal to perform a front flip with a little vertical boost. In combat, the Jedi Flip can also help Cal dodge wide attacks, which is particularly useful for many of the game's bosses.

6 Wall Run

The Wall Run is another exploration ability that Cal brings in from the first game. Wall Run is an exploration ability that is instantly unlocked at the beginning of the game, as Cal maneuvers around Coruscant fighting the Empire. This allows Cal to get to places that may be further away in any directional sense.

To perform the Wall Run, players will have to jump onto a wall with subtle scratch marks on it. This will allow Cal to run quickly on the side of a wall before running out of momentum and slowly falling, which prompts players to jump onto another wall or platform.

5 Ziplines

Ziplines are one of Star Wars Jedi's staples in terms of exploration on the franchise's various planets. Ziplines are littered throughout Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and some of them will require further exploration to have BD-1 unlock them for shortcuts around Meditation Points.

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal has all his zipline abilities unlocked, and even has a new one that allows him to move faster on the zipline. Players only need to jump on a zipline to start ziplining. Cal can also turn around in the middle of a zipline.

4 Ascension Cable & V.2

The Ascension Cable is a tool first seen in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as Saw Gerrera used it while fighting the Empire on Kashyyyk. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal eventually happens upon an Ascension Cable that he fixes up at a nearby workbench.

This allows players to grapple onto Ascension Cable ledges. With the next upgrade, Ascension Cable V.2, Cal's Ascension Cable will have further range, and will also allow Cal to grapple onto balloon platforms to reach further places.

3 Merrin's Charm

While on Jedha, Merrin will eventually lend Cal one of her witchlike charms. With this green charm, gamers will be able to dash through green or red laser walls.

When dashing through a red or green laser wall, Cal will be able to perform a Jedi Flip and/or his dash ability once more, allowing Cal to reach even further places than before. With Merrin's Charm, players can go back to the very beginning of the game and locate laser walls that hide collectibles and secrets to 100% Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

2 Air Dash

Though Cal can easily dash on the ground to evade opponents and projectiles, the ability to dash in the air isn't unlocked until the last half of the game's main story chapters. The Air Dash is an exploration ability that will allow players to press the dodge button in midair, which will send Cal flying forward with the Force.

Though the distance isn't exceptional, the Air Dash allows for gamers to reach places that were just out of reach earlier in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. After beating the game, players will want to use this ability to obtain hidden collectibles before starting New Journey +.

1 Mounts

Mounts are one of the many new features that players can dive into in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. After crashing on the planet Koboh, Cal will inevitably learn the ability to use the Force to tame mounts. There are three different mounts that Cal can tame and ally with to explore:

The Nekko mount, which is quick and allows Cal to jump to high places; Spamels, which are tall beasts that allow for quick exploration on Jedha; and Relters which allow for Cal to glide down to faraway places on Koboh. All of these mounts make it possible for players to reach places that Cal wouldn't be able to reach alone.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
