Though players of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom remain unyielding in their Korok torture posts, one of the game's voice actors took to social media to speak their piece about it. However, some Tears of the Kingdom players chose to pay their commentary little heed, with some of them sharing their morbid machines in their respective responses.

Ever since the release of Tears of the Kingdom, players have found creative ways to use Link's Ultrahand and Autobuild abilities to wreak havoc on innocents and foes alike. With the odious memories of the Korok seed quest from Breath of the Wild still fresh on players' minds, Tears of the Kingdom quickly became their outlet for vengeance against the Koroks. While some players reveled in the destruction, other observers judged them for their contraptions, including the voice actor for one of Tears of the Kingdom's new fan-favorite characters.

Cristina Vee, who voiced the young Rito warrior Tulin in Tears of the Kingdom, took to Twitter to state that she has seen the carnage that players wrought. In short, Vee called out players and judged their conduct as "sins" against the Koroks. However, Vee was not free of the supposed sins either, as her subsequent tweet revealed that she inadvertently took part in some Korok torture herself. While she was escorting a Korok via a makeshift, horse-drawn cart, she came across some Fire Fruits that ended up destroying both the cart and the horse in a "traumatizing" blaze.

Vee also portrayed Hestu in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which saw both the character and the Koroks take to the battlefield with their unique abilities. That detail was the crux behind Vee's statements, which did not go unnoticed in the Tweets' replies. While some users supported Vee's stance against punishing the Koroks, other users trolled the voice actor with videos of the various torture devices made specifically for the Koroks. It goes without saying that Vee's interactions on social media, and the replies that followed, were made just for fun and without malicious intent.

Nevertheless, angry Zelda fans would do well to not torture too many Koroks in their adventures around Hyrule. As was the case in Breath of the Wild, the notorious Korok seeds are still utilized to expand Link's weapon inventory in Tears of the Kingdom. Given the fact that there are 1000 Korok seeds to collect, only time will tell how many players will complete the daunting task a second time.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
