One gamer has taken the time to make a detailed build of a famous tower from Lord of the Rings in the blocky world of Minecraft, and the end result does not disappoint. While there is no shortage of creations shared by talented Minecraft builders, this latest building inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous story stands out due to its impressive detail.

As those who are familiar with Lord of the Rings and Tolkien's other works know, Middle Earth is vast and includes many intriguing locations. In addition to the vivid descriptions of many of the places of Middle Earth in Tolkien's writing, various artists have offered their own interpretations of these settings. In addition, media, such as Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, have provided another look at the impressive craftsmanship of the world of Middle Earth. Recently, one Minecraft gamer decided to create their own version of one of the famous structures in Tolkien's story.

On Reddit, a user known as phasix shared a picture of an incredible tower they had created based on the Lord of the Rings. Specifically, this build was a detailed recreation of the Tower of Orthanc, a famous structure found in Isengard. During the War of the Ring, the Tower of Orthanc was the home of the powerful wizard Saruman the White. Unsurprisingly, the mighty wizard controlled an equally stunning fortress.

Fortunately, the recreation of the famous tower in Minecraft by phasix does not disappoint. In the image, the structure can be seen extended far above the nearby trees, evidencing the impressive scale of the Minecraft build. When making the tower, the Reddit user elected to use predominantly brown-colored blocks for the design. In addition, they included a number of details to make the design look more reminiscent of the source material. For example, the top of the Tower of Orthanc featured the same protruding points described by Tolkien and seen in the Lord of the Rings movies.

Since posting the image of the creation to the Minecraft subreddit, a number of gamers have taken notice and complimented the creator on their work. For example, one user said this Tower of Orthanc build satisfied both their fandoms: Minecraft and Lord of the Rings. In less than a day, the post has gained hundreds of upvotes, with some users hoping to see additional perspectives of the design in the future.

Besides this breathtaking piece of architecture, Middle Earth is full of other wonders for players like phasix to attempt to build moving forward. With so many talented builders in the Minecraft community, it seems only a matter of time before even more creations based on Lord of the Rings emerge on the internet for fans to see.

Minecraft is available on mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and most legacy consoles.
