A rather creative The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has built a vehicle of death and destruction so ridiculous that it would make the Spider-Man villain Big Wheel proud. Tears of the Kingdom has been a hotbed of ludicrous creativity for its players who are having the time of their lives using the game’s mechanics to build some truly wild machines.

Since its release, Tears of the Kingdom has allowed millions of players to be the unhinged engineers they’ve always wanted to be. From horrifying Korok torture machines to supremely cool flying devices that can bring some death-defying fun to the skies in Tears of the Kingdom, there seemingly is no limit to the kinds of absurd devices players can make.

A Tears of the Kingdom player who goes by the name ClearFlat on the game’s subreddit is an example of that ethos, and in the process made a vehicle that looks like it’s about to try to kill Spider-Man. Big Wheel is one of Spidey’s more obscure and absurd villains. He is a former businessman-turned-supervillain who rides around in a one-man Ferris wheel outfitted with guns. ClearFlat is clearly trying to upstage Big Wheel, that, or they are auditioning to become his sidekick. Either way, they've built something Big Wheel would love: a big vehicle intended to kill but winds up being mostly just silly.

ClearFlat appears to have used Link's Ultrahand ability to attach the center of a concrete column to a large Zonai wheel and then connected a Zonai steering device to the wheel as well. Both ends of the column are attached to a series of Zonai sleds that have spike barriers attached to their outer sides. The resulting machine is a drivable wheel of death that ClearFlat uses to squish everything from wild horses to Boboklins that happen to be in their path.

ClearFlat's killer wheel may not be replacing Link's stable of horses anytime soon, but members of the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit who left comments on the post are comparing ClearFlat’s infernal machine to all sorts of circular pop-cultural death vehicles. A couple of examples include General Grievous’ TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike as seen in Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith and the Phoenix Whirlwind, aka the Wheel of Fortune, driven by Jack Atlas in Yu-Gi-Oh!. ClearFlat's machine is right up there with some iconic rides. But, of course, comic book fans who love deep-cut D-list supervillains know that the true point of comparison here is Big Wheel. Sadly, and strangely enough, a Zelda game may be the closest we ever get to seeing Big Wheel on screen.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Switch.
