A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has shown off some impressive Wing surfing skills. Tears of the Kingdom has been praised by fans and critics for its open-ended sandbox gameplay that gives players a set of powers to manipulate the world and its objects. Of course, it was only a matter of hours before players started doing wild, improbable things with the toolbox Nintendo provided.

Tears of the Kingdom, like Breath of the Wild before it, offers players a variety of powerful abilities at the start of the game, then unleashes them upon the open-world environment of Hyrule to mix and match them as the players see fit. The first power players receive is called Ultrahand, an energy beam that emits from Link’s right arm that allows him to lift nearly any object and attach it to another. Some players have made Armored Core-style mechs with it. One player has found a clever way to use Ultrahand in conjunction with a Wing, a ridable glider found throughout Hyrule that can also be acquired in Tears of the Kingdom’s gacha machine mechanic.

A Redditor in the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit who goes by the name Chubbysnow combined the Ultrahand ability and three Wing devices to travel much farther than a single Wing device was intended. Once a player launches a Wing device, it’s only a matter of time before the Wing self-destructs. Chubbysnow found a way to triple the time they can spend in the air. They used Ultrahand to attach two Wing devices together, then launched off a third Wing device on the runway in the opening tutorial Great Sky Island area. Things get wild from there.

Chubbysnow attached the Wing device they were riding to the connected pair, then stood in the middle of the three and used the versatile Ultrahand power to detach the Wing device at the front just as the Wing they were riding self-begins destructing. They continue so on and so forth until all three have self-destructed. Chubbysnow squeezed three Wing devices-worth of flight time out of one glide. A player can achieve a similar glide time with the glider that can be accessed fairly early on in the game, but using the Zonai abilities to do achieve the same effect in a much more absurd way is quickly becoming a beloved part of the Tears of the Kingdom experience.

Since release, players have been discovering and sharing several preposterous inventions and diabolical machines they’ve created using abilities such as Ultrahand and Fuse. A lot of the most ludicrous machines were built using Zonai devices, which are pieces of machinery, like fans and wheels, that were left behind by the ancient Zonai civilization which also plays a key role in Tears of the Kingdom’s story. Players have already used the devices and powers to do some wild stuff like crucify Koroks for reasons that only make sense to them.
