A pair of popular streamers have been revealed to be the latest celebrities to be made available as Operator skins in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The Call of Duty franchise has a long history of using celebrities in its games, from major movie stars to professional athletes to the most popular streamers who play their games professionally. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is continuing the tradition of showing some love for its large community of high-profile influencers.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was released in November 2022 as the franchise’s latest version of free-to-play battle royale gameplay popularized by PUBG and Fortnite. In just a short time, Warzone 2 has established a firm foothold in the crowded battle royale market. It's done so by combining the fast and frenetic military shooter style the Call of Duty franchise is known for with the shrinking maps and parachute drop-ins of Fortnite. The overlapping strategies of the different series have allowed some players to bring some of their Fortnite-style strategies into the Call of Duty universe.

Continuing the tradition of offering Operator skins based on real-life fans of the franchise, Nickmercs and TimTheTatman, two hugely popular streamers who have made Warzone 2 a part of their regular rotation of streamed games, will be available as Operator skins on May 31. The Call of Duty franchise recently announced the addition of NBA star Kevin Durant to its list of celebrity Operator skins available in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Nickmercs is a member and co-owner of the massively popular FaZe Clan collective of streamers. While Nickmercs and FaZe Clan as a whole stream a wide variety of games, they tend to specialize in battle royale games like the aforementioned Fortnite, the Call of Duty: Warzone series, and Apex Legends. Nickmercs is a big fan of Warzone 2, and his Operator skin takes its inspiration from his personal branding and MFAM clothing line, which themselves are modeled after the helmets worn by Roman Spartan soldiers.

TimTheTatman got his start on Twitch back in 2012, where he garnered a huge following of over seven million while streaming games like Counter-Strike, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. His popularity took off when he began streaming Fortnite. TimTheTatman's Operator skin bears much more resemblance to his real-life self than Nickmercs', mostly due to its more pared-down styling. The skin has TimTheTatman's titular tattoos prominently featured, with his face on full display. TimTheTatman has partnered with Nickmercs and a handful of other streamers to develop a battle royale game of their own currently under the codename Project V.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
