Following the ban of controversial Twitch streamer Natalia "Alinity" Mogollon for a violation of the site's guidelines, the streamer took to social media to condemn the ban and strongly hinted at leaving the Amazon-owned service for a competitor. Alinity's response to her second ban from Twitch came shortly after the hammer was dropped on her, and social media users responded to it with their takes.

In 2020, Alinity received her first ban from Twitch following a wardrobe malfunction that occurred during a stream. That ban originally was planned to last only one day. However, at Alinity's own request, Twitch saw fit to extend that ban to three days. Despite the ban and the fallout from it, Alinity has remained a controversial figure in the streaming landscape, with over 1.4 million followers on her Twitch page at the time of her second ban. However, unlike her first ban, Alinity has not taken the news of her second ban well.

On Twitter, Alinity stated that the ban she received from Twitch will once again be for three days. She added that the ban was for "twerking" on stream, which constituted a violation of the site's rules against suggestive and sexual content, and posted a clip of the dance for transparency. In a follow-up, Alinity stated that she initially received a less severe punishment for her 2020 wardrobe malfunction, but was quick to call out Twitch on their policies against sexual content and claimed that there are more egregious offenses worth prioritizing over it. However, in the heat of the moment, Alinity claimed that she would consider taking her stream elsewhere. Whether this means she would think about jumping ship to Kick or Rumble remains to be seen.

While a handful of Twitter users chose the opportunity to bring up Alinity's cat-throwing incident, most of the Twitter responses to this ban have gone in Alinity's favor this time. While the majority agreed that the dance technically constituted a violation of Twitch's sexual content rules, some users called the three-day punishment too long and said that a one-day ban would have been sufficient. Other users said the dance was "tame" and not worthy of a ban. However, at the time of writing, Alinity had no plans to appeal the ban.

While the sexual content policy itself still remains a hot-button topic from the streaming community, that does not change that Alinity's ban could go down as one of the biggest Twitch bans in 2023. Only time will tell what this will mean for Alinity and Twitch going forward.
