Thankfully, these fans do not need these controllers to function properly, making them a slightly more palatable choice. They are solidly built and have excellent looks to boot, with a great if somewhat subtle design look thanks to the 18 aRGB lights in each fan.
Regarding software, Razer's Chroma software compatibility coupled with its excellent Synapse software does allow more fine-grained control over the PWM fans' RGB settings.
