Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gameplay footage is now out in the wild. Quidditch is known as the Wizarding World's favorite sport, and up until the game was announced it was speculated that Quidditch would appear in Hogwarts Legacy as DLC content. Harry Potter himself was an avid Quidditch player throughout the book series, later joined by Ron Weasley on the Gryffindor house Quidditch team. Their positions were Seeker and Keeper, respectively.

While the absence of Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy has been a point of contention for some fans, the game did offer a narrative reason for its omission. Instead, fans have an entire Quidditch-based game to look forward to. That said, there is no official release date for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions as of writing. The game is still in the closed testing phase, but there will likely be a more open public test when it approaches release readiness.

Twitch streamer novemberkilogaming showed off an early build of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions including some character customization and gameplay. Players can choose characters like Ron Weasley and even Harry Potter himself, it also appears that there is a variety of options in terms of selectable brooms and broom trail colors. Different Quidditch positions including Beater, Chaser, Seeker, and Keeper are all playable. It looks like players will be locked into the position chosen at the beginning of a match. The footage was shared over to Reddit but has since been taken down by copyright notice, but it can still be viewed over at MP1st.

Novemberkilogaming has apparently gained access to Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions via the closed play test. Sharing game footage during closed play tests violates the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that players typically agree to in order to gain access.

The leaked footage seems to indicate that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will include some features that fans are hopeful for. Fans should be mindful of the fact that the footage may not be representative of what the final product will look like; by nature, closed play tests are kept under wraps since they are conducted with early versions of the game that may contain bugs and add or omit features that will not be available in the final release.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is currently in development.
