A player managed to kidnap Purah in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by using an elaborate flying machine. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players may use flying machines and other devices to transport Koroks and other NPCs to a desired destination.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom takes place directly after the events of the prior title, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link and Zelda are separated after an incident underneath Hyrule Castle, and Link reawakens in a mysterious temple in the skies above Central Hyrule. The mysterious entity Rauru helps Link acquire new abilities such as Ultrahand, Fuse, and Ascend. These new abilities are vital toward exploring uncharted territory in the vast Kingdom of Hyrule and flying from island to island in the sky in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player ZeldaCastle9 kidnaps Purah by using a large flying machine powered by Zonai energy. The exact methods for bringing Purah onto the flying machine are unknown, but the player is able to transport her on the machine's attached platforms. Several fans, batteries, and a control mechanism were attached to these platforms to facilitate successful flight over Hyrule. ZeldaCastle9 is able to fly in the air with Purah on the platform despite not being able to attach her to the flying machine with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability.

Purah is one of the first Sheikah NPCs that Link reunites with in Lookout Landing after his reawakening in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Although Purah appears to be a young woman, she is the older sister of Impa and over 124 years old. She acquired her newfound youth during research into an anti-aging rune in the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Her design and personality makes Purah a fan-favorite character in the Zelda community.

ZeldaCastle9's kidnapping of Purah is another whimsical feat that players may achieve in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom while constructing machines with the Ultrahand and Autobuild abilities. It's unknown whether moving Purah to another location may softlock game progress for certain quests, so players may want to exercise caution instead.

The Zelda community will likely continue to share more videos of their creations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for weeks and months to come. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold over 10 million copies around the world, and sales are expected to grow even further throughout the second half of 2023.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
