One of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's industrious players has created their version of fireworks, constructed with fittingly explosive items found in-game. Now that Tears of the Kingdom has been available for a decent amount of time and players are completing the game's campaign, they're getting more creative. Many are starting to build things that they weren't sure were otherwise possible with Tears of the Kingdom's construction mechanics. Fireworks are just the latest creation Zelda players have come up with.

Compared to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom allows for much more creative freedom when it comes to construction. Being able to attach items to each other is leading to imaginative creations that even Nintendo likely never expected to see in its new game. It isn't just the Ultrahand that makes creation so interesting in Tears of the Kingdom, though. There are dozens of items in the game that react in surprising ways when combined.

That's how Reddit user TBrofire made their own version of fireworks within The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The concept is relatively simple. Fireworks start on the ground and launch into the air, and then they explode into bright flashing colors. As such, TBrofire started with a basic Zonai Rocket item, which will launch into the air when activated. They attached a Zonai Time Bomb on top of the Rocket, which explodes after a short period of time. Then it's just a matter of attaching items that will create a special effect when exploded.

In this specific firework's case, TBrofire decided to experiment with a variety of items with explosive visuals. They started with a normal Bomb Flower, then attached White Chuchu Jelly for an ice effect, and Red Chuchu Jelly for a fire effect. The final two items are a bit of a surprise, but ultimately make a lot of sense. There's a Dazzlefruit, which creates a flash of powerful light when used. Lastly, they choose a Muddle Bud item that creates a disorienting odor but is actually perfect for a firework.

The result is quite beautiful. When the firework explodes, there's an initial major explosion and flash of light due to the Time Bomb and Dazzle Fruit. The Bomb Flower and Red Chuchu Jelly leave a flash of fire and smoke afterward, with flames shooting out in lines. The White Chuchu Jelly creates flashing white clouds in a wide radius in the sky, while the Muddle Bud leaves a lingering cloud of glittering sparkles.

As with every creation in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as cool as it is it's also a starting point for other creations. Tears of the Kingdom players will hopefully iterate on this firework design and make even better versions. Perhaps they can create lines of fireworks, each with a different effect, to create full fireworks shows. It seems a lot more pleasant of a creative endeavor than Korok torture machines, at least.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Switch.
