Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about a new set of skins for two popular characters, Klee and Kaeya. Even though the game's gacha system puts the playable roster in the main spotlight, HoYoverse has released a surprisingly low number of cosmetics for their characters.

Genshin Impact has a pattern of adding new skins during two of their annual events, the Lantern Rite Festival which celebrates the Chinese New Year, and the Summer-themed Golden Apple Archipelago. Both of these events always feature two skins for one five-star and one four-star character. The most recently released outfits were back in update 3.4 in which the five-star Cryo user Ayaka and Mondstadt's four-star Electro character Lisa received their first skins.

Over the last couple of months, multiple Genshin Impact leaks have been hinting at two new skins for Klee and Kaeya that should arrive in the upcoming months. A credible leaker named HutaoLover77 has finally shared the in-game models for both skins which attracted a lot of attention. Klee's new skin will be completely different from her current outfit with the witch hat being the main difference. The new skin will also feature a slightly darker color theme and a maid-like outfit. Many fans suspect that this outfit could be a gift from Klee's mother Alice, who is known as one of the most legendary travelers in all of Teyvat.

The official storyline has confirmed that Alice arranged the first Golden Apple Archipelago event in order to keep Klee entertained and there is a very high chance that she is also tied to Klee's skin. While Alice will most likely play an important role in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.8, it's unlikely that she will make an official appearance since her model was not found in the current beta phase.

Many leaks have been suggesting that Klee's skin will have a five-star rarity, but these rumors were debunked by another credible leaker named merlin_impact. The only five-star skin in Genshin Impact is Diluc's Red Dead of Knight. Many fans have pointed out that Kaeya's new skin looks very similar to his current form.

Players will most likely get the chance to acquire Kaeya's skin for free by completing a couple of interesting event-exclusive quests. If HoYoverse keeps its usual pattern of releasing new character cosmetics, Klee's new outfit will be available in the in-game shop for a discounted price during Genshin Impact update 3.8.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
