New Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about the upcoming region that will arrive in the next update. Since the addition of the Inazuma islands, developer HoYoverse has followed a pattern of adding new explorable terrain to the world of Teyvat approximately every other update.

Genshin Impact version 3.6 has introduced two new regions that belong to the Sumeru nation. Both of these regions are expected to be the last map expansions in the land of Dendro, at least for the foreseeable future. According to numerous rumors, Travelers should get their exploration gear ready since the next couple of updates will be filled with new locations to explore.

Previous leaks have been hinting that the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.8 will introduce a new limited region, similar to the islands that arrived during the Golden Apple Archipelago events in updates 1.6 and 2.8. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed a map of the new region including the teleport waypoints. Many fans in the comment section have pointed out that the fact that the map includes 9 teleport waypoints means that the region will be larger than they previously expected. Some Travelers have also praised HoYoverse's decision to include only one underground waypoint which means that the majority of the upcoming limited quests will take place on the surface level.

While the next update probably won't introduce any new characters, it will however add a new special domain. According to another Genshin Impact leak, the domain will feature a new enemy named Idyia who will apparently be very similar to the Oceanid of Qingce, also known as Rhodeia of Loch, who can be found in the northern part of the region. Players can probably expect a very similar fighting experience with the new boss.

The Golden Apple Archipelago has always been one of the two annual events in which HoYoverse introduces new skins for some of their playable characters. The first GAA added new summer-themed outfits for two popular Mondstadt characters, Jean and her younger sister Barbara. The previous event introduced the first five-star skin for the Pyro claymore user Diluc.

Recent leaks have been hinting that two additional Mondstadt characters, Klee and Kaeya, will also receive new outfits in Genshin Impact update 3.8. Travelers will most likely be allowed to acquire one of the skins for free by completing a couple of limited quests.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
