The release of the new Big Bad, High Evolutionary, is expected to shake up Marvel Snap's META course as he finally provides the anticipated buff that no-ability cards like Hulk desperately need. However, since High Evolutionary only works well with seven specific cards, many players struggle to build a suitable deck around him.
This guide, therefore, aims to help Marvel Snap fans by providing tips on choosing the right cards and creating an unbeatable deck for High Evolutionary with budget cards.
The Best Deck for High Evolutionary
In Marvel Snap’s new Season, the best High Evolutionary deck is a Hulk-Abomination lineup. To build this setup, players will need to team up High Evolutionary with Hulk, She-Hulk, Abomination, Wasp, Sunspot, Quinjet, Psylocke, Cyclops, Misty Knight, The Thing, and Luke Cage.

While the High Evolutionary deck has no particular Archetype, its goal should be to afflict negative Power and save Energy. This is done to reduce Abomination’s Cost and buff Hulk’s Power for an end-game combo. In this lineup, Wasp, Cyclops, and The Thing are attackers, Quinjet and Psylocke are Energy savers, and Luke Cage is the support. This is while the contribution to the board buffs Sunspot, Misty Knight, Abomination, and Hulk in the background.

- High Evolutionary: Unleashes no-ability cards’ potential.
- Abomination: gets a Cost discount per each afflicted enemy card.
- Hulk: Gains +2 Power per each saved Energy.
- Misty Knight: Gains +1 Power per saved Energies.
- Wasp: Afflicts two enemy cards with -1 Power.
- Sunspot: Gains +1 Power per unspent Energies.
- Cyclops: Afflicts -1 Power to two enemies per saved Energy.
- The Thing: Gives -3 Power to a random enemy card at his location.
- Quinjet: Reduces the Cost of drawn cards in the deck.

Cards That Synergize with High Evolutionary
There are seven cards with secret abilities that synergize with High Evolutionary: Misty Knight, The Thing, Cyclops, Wasp, Shocker, Abomination, and Hulk.
When High Evolutionary is in the deck, these cards' secret Ongoing and On Reveal abilities are triggered. However, players don't necessarily have to play High Evolutionary to experience this synergy, as his ability is automatically activated at the beginning of the game.
As a downside, High Evolutionary doesn’t synergize with Token cards like DoomBot, Rock, Spirit Tigers, Ultron Droids, etc. Plus, its ability does not stack with Patriot’s.
The Best Counter Deck for High Evolutionary
Ideal counter cards for High Evolutionary are Luke Cage, Super-Skrull, Cosmo, Enchantress, and Shadow King. But the best deck to play against this Big Bad is a Control-Archetype lineup with Sera.
To build the best counter deck, have Sera teamed up with Kitty Pryde, Nova, Angela, Luke Cage, Sentinel, Mysterio, Rogue, Bishop, Killmonger, Shang-Chi, and Enchantress.
