NetherRealm’s newest fighting game was revealed last week, and fans are already primed to see more as Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay will debut during Summer Game Fest. Likewise, Alan Wake 2 is set to have its own gameplay revealed at some point during the same event.

The PlayStation Showcase was filled with many more exciting first- and third-party appearances, but Bungie seemed to steal the show a bit with its massive announcements in an almost dedicated segment near the end. Here, Bungie announced a Marathon reboot as well as confirmed leaks through a teaser for The Final Shape expansion. In this regard, Xbox surely needs a win and will hopefully earn one during its own upcoming showcase.

James Gunn’s upcoming slate of DCU titles will usher in a wave of characters many fans have never heard of, while other characters like Superman and Batman will still have their own heyday. Any of these characters could make their way into a future DC game if the property is popular enough, and Creature Commandos is an ensemble that could easily be up for consideration.
