Hogwarts Legacy features a grand open world for players to explore, but there is plenty to discover within the castle walls. There are countless secrets to be found and puzzles to be solved as players try to navigate Hogwarts, and some of these are much easier to figure out than others. One puzzle that some players may find themselves stumped by revolves around statues holding balls, but the solution to this is actually very simple.
Though solving puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy often rewards players with new gear to equip or cosmetic changes for their wands and outfits, another common reward is Field Guide pages. The player's Field Guide contains a host of lore about the world and information about the game's various locations and items, making it a treasure trove for those who really love to jump into the Wizarding World. The numerous statues with orbs reward players with Field Guide pages, and, subsequently, knowledge.
Where to Find Statue Holding Ball
These mysterious statues holding orbs can be found all around Hogwarts, and it's very likely that players have passed by them before. They may seem like simple decorations at first, but astute players will notice that they become highlighted when the player looks at them just like other targetable objects. They can even be locked onto, but using a basic cast doesn't seem to break the statues or cause any change at all. Players will need to make use of a specific spell if they want to claim the Field Guide pages within.
How to Use Statue With Orb
As it happens, interacting with these statues is incredibly simple, and requires a spell that players learn on their very first day at Hogwarts. Players can target the statue and cast Levioso and the orb will open up, revealing a Field Guide page where the ball once was.
Seeking out these statues is necessary if players want to truly 100% Hogwarts Legacy and hopefully make Professor Weasley proud in the process. In total, there are 14 different Levioso Statues for players to find and collect Field Guide pages from, all of which will be needed for those hoping to complete the expansive Field Guide of Hogwarts Legacy.
These statues are but one of the many secrets in Hogwarts. There are many other ways that players can get Field Guides as they explore the school, ranging from simply casting Revelio to using spells like Incendio and Confringo. Players will need to stay alert as they traverse the castle if they want to uncover all of the secrets that it holds.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One ports are scheduled to release on April 4; the Nintendo Switch version is arriving on July 25, 2023.
