But Hogwarts Legacy players have been forced in their time at Hogwarts to use one spell more than any other, Revelio. Used for finding a number of items and locations, including field guide pages, Revelio is integral to the Hogwarts Legacy gameplay. The field guide page challenges that players are saddled with if they want to play in a completionism manner can be tricky, but there are certain tips and tricks which can help players complete them.

5 Revelio Everything

The simplest trick to find a lot of field guide pages, particularly inside Hogwarts grounds, is just to use Revelio everywhere that the player goes. There are 150 pages inside the castle itself, so players shouldn’t find it too difficult to pick up an awful lot of them quickly by simply using the spell quickly and following the dinging noises which indicate that a field guide page is nearby.

If players are beginning a fresh run or their very first run in Hogwarts Legacy, the best policy is to try and Revelio frequently from the moment they are able. Since the game directs players to most areas of the castle for the campaign at one time or another, players may well be able to collect all the field guide pages they need to complete the field guide page challenge for Hogwarts.

4 Use Audio Visualizer

Even with Revelio providing sounds to guide players directionally toward field guide page locations, there can be some problems. The worst of these come inside Hogwarts grounds. Partially this issue is because there are just so many pages, and partially it is because there are so many floors and rooms on Hogwarts grounds. Fortunately, there is a handy tool that a lot of Hogwarts Legacy players aren’t aware of that can be extremely helpful in exactly this situation as players try to complete every aspect of the game.

If players aren’t sure whether a page noise is coming from their level, they can go into accessibility options to turn on the audio visualizer. Not only is this a great option for better accessibility in Hogwarts Legacy, but it can also be hugely helpful as it will show directionally where the noise is coming from, making it much easier to determine if it is on another level. Players can also check for certain items on the mini-map whether something is above or below them. The audio visualizer is a huge help when players are really scouring for hidden pages in unusual sections of the castle, or in towers where there are several floors stacked atop each other.

3 Zoom Out In The Highlands

A simple trick but another one which a surprisingly large number of Hogwarts Legacy players aren’t familiar with, the map section in the pause menu can be zoomed out. It seems to stop at a certain point, but if players attempt to zoom out again then they can get far enough out to see individual statistics for what is available on exploration in each section of the Highlands.

Finding field guide pages in the Highlands, especially a relatively small number of them, can be a daunting task for any Hogwarts Legacy player. There are a lot of Highland pages in Hamlets, but other ones can be extremely difficult to find. It becomes a lot easier if players are able to narrow down whatever Highland pages they are missing to a certain zone. The Highlands map is split into fourteen areas and some of these don’t even have a field guide page at all, so players searching specifically for these need not waste their time in them. Zooming out and getting a full view of what the player is missing, not only for field guide pages but for all exploration materials, is hugely helpful.

2 Look Up In Hogsmeade

Hogsmeade has plenty of field guide pages of its own and as such a whole set of field guide page challenges. If players are looking to find a lot of pages around Hogsmeade quickly, they should obviously start by visiting the various shops, making sure they go into every single one they can, and using Revelio. However, after this, the best policy in Hogsmeade is to just walk around, both the inside and around the outside of the town, and keep eyes peeled on the sky.

More than Hogwarts or the Highlands, the field guide pages around Hogsmeade can be found simply flying around above the buildings. Players will be able to gather most of the pages in Hogsmeade by doing a quick run around all the shops and keeping eyes peeled to the sky for the pages that require accio to grab and add to the field guide.

1 Investigate Everything That Glows

When players use Revelio, they will often hunt out the field guide pages, particularly inside Hogwarts, and move on. But inside Hogwarts, there are so many puzzles that also give out field guide pages, that players should keep their eyes open as well as their ears while using Revelio.

From the wizard statues that need levioso to reveal a page to the paintings that need a detached moth returned to release the hidden page, there are many other ways to collect them. If players are trying to get the full 100% completion, they’ll want to take care of glowing things around the castle even if they have nothing to do with field guide pages.

Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10th, 2023, and is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
