As an RPG, Hogwarts Legacy offers tons of side quests within and outside the Castle walls. The quests can be given by various characters like classmates, professors, and villagers.
One of the side quests players will encounter in Hogwarts Legacy is Dissending For Sweets. It is given by Garreth Weasley; a student who enjoys brewing drinks of all kinds. Reaching level five and completing the Main Quest: Potions Class are required to start this quest. The task rewards players with Gold, 180 XP, and Conjuration Spellcraft.
Dissending For Sweets Quest Guide In Hogwarts Legacy
To Solve the Dissending for Sweets side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, players have to collect Dried Billywig Stings from Honeydukes’ Cellar. The quest is available after attending the first Potion Class. To trigger the quest, head to the Great Hall of Hogwarts Castle and strike up a conversation with Garreth Weasley. The NPC will tell players about a secret passage under the one-eyed witch statue, that leads to Honeydukes’ Cellar. To get there, players need to:
- Locate the one-eyed witch statue at the Grand staircase.
- Interact with the statue to trigger a cutscene and teleport into the secret passage that leads to Honeydukes’ Cellar.
- Use Reparo to fix the busted lift.
- Collect the chest from behind the lift after descending.
- Continue down the passage.
- Cast Incendio to burn the spiders' webs blocking the way.
From this point on, players can either continue down their quest target directly or diverge from it to loot the secret passage and obtain a Gear in Hogwarts Legacy. Upon opening the stashed chest, players need to head back to the platform and cast Levioso on it. Doing so will levitate it and make it climbable.
After reaching the cliff, players will have the option of continuing on or descending to explore the cave below. Continuing on will lead players to their quest's main route where they have to figure out how to cross over to the other side. To reach it, players need to:
- Cast Levioso on the platform to levitate it and jump onto it.
- Use Reparo to fix the broken platform, then Levioso.
- Jump across.
- Cast Incendio to clear the spiders’ webs.
- Repair the broken platform and use Accio to remove the latch from the platform path before levitating it.
Crossing over to the other side will lead players into a locked door in Hogwarts Legacy. To open it, simply cast Incendio to light up the Braziers in front of it. Afterward, the protagonists can go into the next room and climb the ladder after looting.
Climbing the ladder will lead right into Honeydukes’ Cellar, where they can collect the Dried Billywig Stings that Garreth needs. To deliver back the missing key ingredient:
- Teleport back to the Great Hall Floo Flame.
- Go to the Entrance Hall.
- Talk to Garreth Weasley in Hogwarts Legacy.
Completing the Dissending for Sweets quest can either be done by giving him the Dried Billywig Stings for free or asking for a fee. The quest concludes with Garreth promising players to make them one of the first people to taste his Fizzing-Whiz Beer in Hogwarts Legacy.
