Upper Hogsfield is in the countryside and the closest Hamlet to Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy. Due to its near location to Hogsmeade, the locals referred to themselves as "Hogsfield". However, when another region near Hogsmeade claimed the same name, each village added a qualifier. As a result, the area was called Upper Hogsfield.
Upon arriving at Upper Hogsfield in Hogwarts Legacy, players will find two side quests within the village. One of those quests is the Brother’s Keeper quest. The mission is initiated after talking to Dorothy Sprottle, who is concerned about Bardolph Beaumont's disappearance. It is better if players were at level 17 or higher when accepting this quest as they will face difficult enemies.
Brother's Keeper Quest Guide In Hogwarts Legacy
To complete the Brother's Keeper quest in Hogwarts Legacy, players need to investigate the camp Bardolph Beaumont stayed in. Bardolph allegedly practiced Dark Magic near the forest and was last seen by Dorothy Sprottle near a ruin on Rokwood’s lot. The old lady claims that Bardolph got himself in trouble with the Ashwinders after he made them a promise that he can’t keep. Thus, he has been missing for some time, which has caused concern among his town folks since he had promised to assist his sister Claire Beaumont to manage her shop.
After getting all the necessary information about Bardolph's whereabouts, players should:
- Teleport to the North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flame or use the Broom to fly to the marked destination on the map.
- Equip Gears with high stats, as they would come across Poacher Tracker, and Inferius on their way.
Arriving at the ruin, players will find it swarming with Inferius. The latter must be struck with Fire Spells in Hogwarts Legacy, or explosive barrels to make them vulnerable to other attacks. After defeating them, Bardolph Beaumont’s corpse will rise from the ruin’s soil and attack. The protagonist has no other choice but to slaughter the young boy’s corpse as he has turned into an Inferius. Slaying the boy will reward players with his Tattered Jumper. Next, return to Upper Hogsfield to tell Claire Beaumont about her brother’s fate. To do so:
- Teleport to Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame, or use the Broom in Hogwarts Legacy.
- Go to Claire Beaumont's shop and talk to her.
Players can choose to tell Claire that her brother Bardolph turned into an Inferius and had to be slain. The girl will refuse to believe the news until the protagonist shows her his Tattered Jumper. Or, players can diverge from the truth and tell her that Bardolph decided to pursue a new life outside Upper Hogsfield. Completing this quest rewards players with a Wand handle, and 180 XP in Hogwarts Legacy.
