The Forbidden Forest plays host to several key events throughout the Harry Potter books. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise to learn that this daunting and dangerous location can also be explored in Hogwarts Legacy, with several of the game's side quests taking place among the trees and magical creatures that call the Forbidden Forest their home.
One of these quests is called "Spot Removal" and becomes available once players have unlocked flying mounts. To trigger it, players will need to speak to a Hufflepuff student named Sacharissa Tugwood, who can be found hanging around outside the Dogweed and Deathcap store in Hogsmeade. She'll ask players to help her to track down some Bubotubers, which means taking another trip into the Forbidden Forest.
How to Complete the Spot Removal Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy
In order to complete "Spot Removal," Hogwarts Legacy players will need to head to the area marked on their map and find the five Bubotubers that are scattered around throughout the large purple circle. There are a lot of enemies in this area, so players should come prepared for a fight, though there are a few tricks that they can use to make this side quest considerably easier than it might first appear.
For starters, players can use Revelio to highlight the position of Bubotubers. The range on Revelio is already pretty good, but players may want to improve it by unlocking the Revelio Mastery Talent. This can be found under the Core subheading and unlocked using a single Talent Point. It's also worth noting that players can cast Revelio while riding on a broomstick and can also pick up items while mounted, which makes grabbing the first three Bubotubers an absolute breeze.
The final two Bubotubers are inside a cave with an angry Troll. It is possible to swoop in and grab the Bubotubers while flying on a broomstick without the Troll even noticing, but the camera controls and enclosed nature of the cave can sometimes make this difficult. As such, players may be better off running into the cave and grabbing the two Bubotubers on foot, or, for those who enjoy a good challenge, just taking out the Troll as intended and picking up the Bubotubers at their own leisure.
Once players have all five Bubotubers, they'll be prompted to return to Sacharissa, who is still waiting in Hogsmeade. They'll be given the option to haggle for a higher price rather than just handing the Bubotubers over, in which case they'll receive 500 Galleons instead of 300. Whatever they choose to do, they'll also get 180 XP as well as the Bubotuber Harvesting Attire: a cosmetic item that can be used to change the appearance of certain Gear.
