In the Shadow of Friendship is the final quest of the In the Shadow series in Hogwarts Legacy. The protagonist will receive the A Sallow Grave Trophy as well as 180 XP in Hogwarts Legacy for completing it.
There's no puzzle that need solving in this mission as people simply have to speak to a character in the Undercroft. However, the character players speak with will differ based on the choice the protagonist choose in the previous quest. This means players must choose carefully whether they want to turn in Sebastian or not in Hogwarts Legacy.
In The Shadow Of Friendship Quest In Hogwarts Legacy
To trigger In the Shadow of Friendship quest, it’s crucial that these quests are completed; The Final Repository main quest and In the Shadow of Fate relationship quest in Hogwarts Legacy. As usual, to go to the Undercroft, teleport to the Defence Against The Dark Arts Tower Floo Flame, and follow the marked location on the mini-map. The person waiting for players inside the Undercroft depends on the choice made in the previous quest.
Turn Sebastian In
By choosing to turn Sebastian in, he will get expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and will face a trial to decide his fate. Players will never get to see him again even in the epilogue. Once In the Shadow of Friendship is triggered, Ominis will be waiting in the Undercroft.
The blind Slytherin will sadly express how the Undercroft will never be the same without Sebastian and how Anne is devastated as she lost all her family. Ominis finishes the conversation by saying he’s glad that he met the protagonist, and thanks them for this journey. If by any chance players missed the chance of learning an unforgivable curse in Hogwarts Legacy, they won’t get the chance to acquire any curse as Sebastian won’t appear in the game anymore.
Not Turning Sebastian In
On the other hand, choosing to not turn in Sebastian will result in him waiting for players in the Undercroft. He will express how guilt-ridden he is and how Anne refuses to see him. It’s like she banishes him from her life for good. However, it turns out that she’s relieved her brother is still around and considers his guilt as punishment enough. Sebastian promises to redeem himself in Hogwarts Legacy and thanks players who stood by his side and didn’t give up on him.
Once the conversation is finished, In the Shadow of Friendship quest is complete and players will receive their rewards. It’s possible to speak with Sebastian once the quest is over to learn any unforgivable spells in Hogwarts Legacy that players have missed.
