Horklump Juice is a potion ingredient in Hogwarts Legacy and one-half of the recipe for brewing Wiggenweld Potions. This usage makes it very sought after, as players will want to keep up their supply of Wiggenweld healing potions as they take on all manner of enemies.
Unlike other Hogwarts Legacy ingredients like Dittany Leaves, Horklump Juice cannot be grown, meaning finding it out in the field is the primary way of obtaining it. Even so, there are some places where Horklump Juice is easier to find than others, and even one dungeon that is full of Horklump Juice gathering spots.
Although Horklumps may look like magical plants, they are, in fact, magical beasts. These small critters resemble mushrooms but are animals through and through. Hogwarts Legacy players will collect a lot of Horklump Juice just running around, but if they want to make a lot of potions, they will need to go out of their way to gather some.
Buying Horklump Juice
Although easy and quick, buying Horklump Juice can be an expensive endeavor depending on how much the player needs. Shops like J. Pippin's Potions sell Horklump Juice in limited quantities for 50 Galleons per unit.
Since buying Wiggenweld Potions straight up only costs 100 Galleons, it's usually not worth purchasing Horklump Juice unless players have an excess of Dittany Leaves and time for brewing the potions.
Finding Horklump Juice
Horklump Juice can usually be found on the outside of Treasure Vaults scattered all throughout the Scottish Highlands. Just open up the map, look for nearby Treasure Vaults, and then head to the entrance of them, and there are bound to be some Horklump Juice gathering spots. Each gathering spot respawns after three in-game days.
Gathering in Horklump Hollow
There is a cave to the north of Hogsmeade called Horklump Hollow that, predictably, is full of Horklump Juice gathering spots. Players can find it on the map above, but it is not without its dangers. Specifically, there's a powerful Mountain Troll at the end of this dungeon guarding a majority of the Horklump Juice.
Players should be able to defeat it if they simply keep their distance and fire long-range spells like Confringo at it. Keep in mind that whenever it throws rocks at the player, they can be thrown back at the Troll if blocked with Protego first. If players don't mind fighting the troll, this is one of the best places to get Horklump Juice in Hogwarts Legacy.
