Hogwarts Legacy's deluxe edition comes with a number of additional items, most of which are cosmetic. It also grants access to an additional activity known as the Dark Arts Arena.
In Hogwarts Legacy, the Dark Arts Arena in the Forbidden Forest allows players to take part in a five-round arena challenge against a variety of dark witches and wizards and Ranrok's goblin forces. While this was included in the deluxe edition, it can also be purchased individually as part of the "Dark Arts Pack" DLC.
How to Find the Dark Arts Arena in Hogwarts Legacy
In order for players to enter the Dark Arts Arena, they'll need to head for the area shown on the map above, which is in the Forbidden Forest. A winged statue can be found here that conceals the entrance, though players will need to complete an additional step in order to actually gain entry.
There's a multitude of breakable vases nearby, which will be highlighted by Revelio. Shattering all the vases will cause the statue to spread its wings, allowing players to interact with it to enter the Dark Arts Arena.
How the Dark Arts Arena Works
On entering the Arena, players are immediately thrust into combat against a wave of Dark Wizards, and their spell palettes are filled with Confringo and the Unforgivable Curses, regardless of whether those spells have been properly unlocked yet. This allows players to freely use the Unforgivable Curses, which can break any kind of shield and cause chaos when utilized properly. Indeed, abusing this is a fantastic way to clear the arena.
Players are still able to edit their spell palettes to equip their preferred spell loadouts if desired, though the Unforgivable Curses cannot be reassigned if removed unless they've been properly unlocked.
The arena also has an abundance of throwable objects to take advantage of Ancient Magic, and players have full access to their inventory of potions and plants for taking advantage of other strategies. Mandrakes and Stormbrew can be very useful for dealing with the sheer volume of enemies in some of the later waves.
Players must defeat five waves consisting of Dark Wizards, Goblins, and Trolls, in order to clear the Dark Arts Arena and earn their reward, the Duelist's Mask cosmetic headwear. The arena may be repeated as often as desired for fun and/or profit (combat and Dueling Challenges can be achieved within the arena).
