Landing platforms in Hogwarts Legacy are an optional exploration challenge for players to complete while exploring the game's vast open world. Players might discover some of these magical, circular mechanisms as they progress through the game. However, most players might want to search for all landing platforms after completing the main story alongside other location-focused activities.
In Hogwarts Legacy, there are 20 landing platforms to discover to complete the landing platform challenge for a cosmetic reward each time players complete a stage. Although some landing platforms can be tricky to find as they aren't marked on the map, they are easily activated once found as players only need to step on them to trigger their fiery mechanism to tick off each as complete. Fortunately, there are some quick ways to reach them and find their locations.
Northern And South Hogwarts Landing Platform Locations
Although a broom is quite quick to travel around on, the fastest way to reach all landing platforms is to fast-travel using Floo Flames. There are 6 landing platforms in the northern areas of the Hogwarts Legacy world map located as follows:
North Ford Bog
1. Just south of the Pitt-Upon-Ford Floo Flame, in the north of the map. The landing platform is on a wooden scaffold construction that's to the west of the large tower that overlooks the area.
Hogsmeade Valley
2. To the east of the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame north of Upper Hogsfield. The landing platform is on a wooden construction on the cliff area between the small and medium-sized bandit camps.
3. On the cliffs to the east of Hogsmeade, just south of the kaleidoscope of butterflies icon marked on the map. There's a Merlin Trial to the east and a mongrel lair to the northeast. Players could use the Falberton Castle or East Hogsmeade Valley Floo Flame to travel there.
South Hogwarts Region
4. South of the Aranshire Floo Flame in the South Hogwarts Region, on some cliffs to the southeast of Hogwarts. The landing platform is the west of the treasure vault marked on the map.
North Hogwarts Region
5. To the southwest of the Forbidden Forest, to the west of the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flame, on a hill close to the river just south of the small bandit camp. Hogwarts Castle is visible in the distance.
6. On a rocky ledge to the northeast of the Korrow Ruins Floo Flame and west of Jackdaw's Tomb Floo Flame that players may remember encountering after completing the House Exclusive Quests. On the map, a treasure vault is marked on a nearby ledge to the east, and the Bandit camp castle sits opposite.
Central Landing Platform Locations
There are 7 landing platforms in the central regions to the south of Hogwarts Castle, with 3 landing platforms in Hogwarts Valley and 4 landing platforms in the Feldcroft Region as detailed below:
Hogwarts Valley
1. On the cliffs above the Dugbog Lair, north of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame. On the map, players can also see Spider Lairs marked on the map to the east and west. The area is also northeast of the Carted Away side quest.
2. On top of the ruins on the cliff that overlooks the community of Keenbridge. The Keenbridge or West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flames are closest, and players can find the landing platform inside a ruined building next to the Diricrawl Den.
3. East of the Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flame, and just north of the East South Sea Bog Floo Flame, near the railway tracks.
Feldcroft Region
4. On a cliff southeast of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame, which players might spot when visiting Sebastian's sister Anne in Feldcroft in The Shadow of the Estate main story quest. Players can see some ruined arches below.
5. Inside a ruined building east of the Feldcroft Floo Flame. There's a Hippogriff Den directly opposite across the small body of water.
6. Above the small house containing the South Feldcroft Floo Flame.
7. South of the windmill next to ruins southeast of the Irondale wizard settlement and Irondale Floo Flame.
Southern Landing Platform Locations
There are 7 landing platforms placed in the 5 southern regions of the Hogwarts Legacy world map. The area is surrounded by no-fly zones, so to get to the southern regions players need to travel through the large goblin tunnels through the Coastal Cavern.
Poidsear Coast
1. On top of a rocky formation out at sea to the southwest of the Marunweem Ruins Floo Flame, at the southern tip of the Poidsear Coast. There's a fallen flag by the landing platform, and players can see the Marunweem bridge directly in front. The South Poidsear Coast Floo Flames are also close to the north.
Marunweem Lake
2. South of the Coastal Mine Floo Flame, directly next to the flag in the Marunweem Lake region. A set of balloons to pop breadcrumbs players to the platform. To the right, players can see a big water wheel turning.
3. On the far side of the bridge tower opposite the Marunweem Bridge Floo Flame, in the Marunweem Lake region.
Manor Cape
4. On the corner of the cliff just north of West Manor Cape Floo Flame, right next to a treasure vault.
5. At the edge of the coast on a tall rocky formation directly south of the West Manor Cape Floo Flame. There are also several balloons to pop on the same coastal corner and Manor ruins opposite in the distance.
Clagmar Coast
6. At the cliff edge facing out to sea at the east corner of the map, southeast of the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. The landing platform is to the right of the Graphorn Den and nearby Merlin Trial.
Cragcroftshire
7. On a tall rock formation around the coastline south of Cragcroft Floo Flame.
Landing Platform Rewards
Players can unlock a total of 4 outfit Quidditch-themed cosmetic rewards that together complete the Quidditch Captain outfit set by completing the landing platforms challenge. Although players can't play Quidditch, it's a fun and worthwhile outfit in Hogwarts Legacy to have in players' inventory collection to have on standby for flight class or to wear when tackling broom time challenges in side quests like Flight Test.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions are currently in development.
