In Hogwarts Legacy players are strongly encouraged to explore the vast area surrounding Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, from the poacher encampments and beast dens to the crumbling ruins and thick woodlands. With a huge range of secrets to uncover and items to collect, players certainly have no shortage of reasons to explore, and Treasure Vaults are a particularly compelling reason.
Hogwarts Legacy's Treasure Vaults offer players opportunities to acquire loot and collectibles in exchange for solving a short puzzle, and can be found all over the game's immense world map. This particular guide will focus on the Vault found near San Bakars Tower, just south of the Floo Flame that allows players to fast-travel to it.
How to Complete the San Bakars Tower Treasure Vault
Players seeking to snatch the treasure from this treasure vault will first need to head to the San Bakars Tower Floo Flame, and then head just a little south from there to locate the Vault Entrance. Luckily, Vault Entrances appear on the map once the player is in the vicinity of them, making the process of locating them far easier.
Completing this puzzle requires players to know Wingardium Leviosa, which is taught by Professor Garlick once her first assignment is completed by using Mandrakes and Venomous Tentacula in combat. In the Vault, players will see some large stone blocks with arrows on them. They are arranged in a pattern against the wall, with one block lying on the ground nearby. Players should note that the blocks alternate the direction their arrows point in as they are stacked, so that no arrow is directly adjacent to another arrow pointing in the same direction. Players should levitate the loose block, rotating it so that it points downwards to continue the pattern, and place it into the gap in the blocks against the wall.
Once this is done, the door nearby will slide open, allowing players to reach the vault's treasure chest and open it up. Players looking to upgrade and enhance their hard won loot might want to look into raising magical beasts and gathering materials from them, for use at the Enchanted Loom to upgrade and enchant gear. Opening up Treasure Vaults is an excellent way to get hold of powerful equipment and further strengthen their character build, which in turn makes combat and exploring much easier and allows players to venture further away from the Castle.
